Ada livestock sales report

The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 575 head July 2, compared to 1,475 head last week, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 higher, most advance on steers. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium. The supply included 32% heifers and 62% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 509 to 517 lbs., 112.00 to 114.00 (112.86); 9 head, 573 lbs., 110.00; 605 to 638 lbs., 107.50 to 109.25 (108.57); 17 head, 653 to 685 lbs., 105.00 to 109.50 (107.43); 19 head, 715 to 749 lbs., 106.75 to 109.50 (107.26); 12 head, 756 to 777 lbs., 105.00 to 107.00 (105.96); 2 head, 810 lbs., 106.00; 13 head, 859 lbs., 102.00 to 102.50 (102.35); 8 head, 907 to 930 lbs., 99.50 to 100.50 (99.88).

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 423 to 448 lbs., 110.00 to 115.00 (112.43); 7 head, 473 to 483 lbs., 110.00 to 113.00 (111.27); 13 head, 520 to 523 lbs., 110.00 to 111.50 (110.81); 5 head, 607 to 640 lbs., 106.00 to 107.50 (106.59).

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 390 lbs., 109.00; 5 head, 462 to 473 lbs., 108.00 to 110.50 (109.49); 17 head, 508 to 538 lbs., 107.50 to 110.00 (108.61); 11 head, 600 to 610 lbs., 104.00 to 107.00 (105.72); 3 head, 715 lbs., 98.00; 11 head, 804 lbs., 86.50. Medium and large frame 2, 6 head, 603 to 615 lbs., 98.00 to 100.00 (99.01); 13 head, 659 to 671 lbs., 99.50; 5 head, 770 to 778 lbs., 90.00.
