MEASURING CARBON--Cesar Izaurraldecarbonforum01 MEASURING CARBON--Cesar Izaurralde, Pacific NW National Lab, reviewed several methods for measuring soil carbon during the Carbon Forum at Kansas State University. A quick, on-the-go method for measuring carbon in the soil is not available at this time. Alternating the production of biomass and grain crops appears to have the potential to maintain soil organic carbon levels.
