A letter from the President of the NWSSDear Friends: Each year, it seems Stock Show comes sooner. The rapid pace of planning the 2008 National Western Stock Show has been amplified by our commitment to bring you great entertainment and plenty of new events we're sure you'll enjoy. As we progress towards our 102nd anniversary, we're also doing so without the aid of long-time director Randall Weeks. During Randall's tenure as a director, he served as the Association's secretary and counsel, as well as a member of the executive committee. I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Randall for his years of constant dedication and continuous commitment to the National Western Stock Show. Aside from the Stock Show itself, the National Western's long-range planning initiative continues. In addition to meeting with political and business officials in the community, we continue to explore various options for the future of our Complex. Throughout this process, we remain dedicated to ensuring the best future possible for the National Western Stock Show. The National Western also hired Ted Willey and Associates to assist us in strengthening the personnel management of our organization. In addition to developing a new vision, mission and value statements, we also are creating more defined objectives for our business to meet within five years. While the process continues, I promise to share these items with you soon. Above all, I'd like to thank you for your support of our organization. Without your help, we could not be the premier livestock show, horse show and rodeo in the world. Sincerely: Patrick A. Grant President & CEO National Western Stock Show 1/7/08 Date: 12/28/07
