Woodward livestock sales

The Woodward Livestock Market, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 4,690 head Jan. 18, compared to 8,922 head last week, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 higher. Steer calves were steady, except 500- to 600-pounds were $2 higher. Heifer calves were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average, few full. The supply included 61% steers, 32% heifers with 71% over 600 pounds.
