Watertown cattle sales report

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,825 head Jan. 23, compared to 2,050 head last week and 1,700 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 higher. Feeder steers made up 63% of the run, feeder heifers made up 37%, with 87% over 600 pounds.
