St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 175 head Jan. 22, compared to 181 head last week and 205 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo.

Compared to last week, feeder pigs sold $7 to $8 higher on a light supply. Demand was good with a large crowd of area producers in attendance.

U.S. 1 to 2: package 36 lbs., 12.00; package 41 lbs., 14.00; package 59 lbs., 18.50; package 82 lbs., 23.00.

U.S. 2 to 3: 23 to 26 lbs., 6.00 to 11.00; package 56 lbs., 14.00; package 85 lbs., 16.00.
