Denison feeder cattle reportThe Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,505 head Jan. 17, compared to 2,318 head last week and 2,107 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale, trade was active. There were no comparisons as last week's auction was a preconditioned sale. The quality was good and the cattle were presented in light to medium flesh. Receipts included 57% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 46% feeder heifers and 54% feeder steers.
