Colorado feeder cattle salesThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 12,745 head Jan. 18, compared to 12,290 head last week and 8,285 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing under 600 pounds were $2 to $4 lower, and weights over 600 pounds were $1 to $2 lower. Feeder heifers under 550 pounds sold $2 to $4 lower, and weights over 550 pounds were $1 to $2 lower. Demand was moderate to good, with best demand for load lots of feeders weighing over 700 pounds.
