Watertown cattle sales reportThe South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 2,050 head Jan. 16, compared to 1,400 head last week and 1,150 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeders under 600 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Feeders over 600 pounds were weak to $1 lower. Feeder steers made up 65% of the run. Feeder heifers 35%, with 83% over 600 pounds.
