Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,100 head Jan. 11, compared to 1,800 head last week and 2,700 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, like receipts were too few to establish an adequate market trend although a lower undertone should be noted. Demand was mostly moderate and trading was moderate. Receipts consisted of 74% steers and 26% heifers with 79% of the total weighing over 600 pounds.
