West Plains regional salesThe Ozarks Regional Stockyard, West Plains, Mo., reported receipts of 4,000 head Jan. 8, compared to 2,700 head last week and 6,568 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo. The offering was too few last week for a comparison, but compared to the feeder sale three weeks ago, steers were $3 to $5 lower, exception better quality 500 to 550 weight sold mostly steady.
