Kansas Farm Bureau, Agragate to host carbon credit meetingsInformational meetings slated in three Kansas locations in January Kansas Kansas Farm Bureau and AgraGate Climate Credits Corp., will host a series of informational meetings on carbon credits for farm operators and landowners in the state. Chad Martin, cropland soils aggregation specialist with AgraGate, and Steve Swaffar, Director of Natural Resources with Kansas Farm Bureau will present the sessions Jan. 16 in Holton, Topeka and Lawrence. There also are programs for forestry and riparian buffer strips and agricultural methane. This meeting is open to any farm operator or landowner who is interested in learning more about this new market." KFB will conduct additional meetings in February and March throughout Kansas. "This is a win-win and we are excited about this opportunity for our members to become involved," Swaffar says.
