Goldthwaite sheep salesThe Mills County Commission Co., Goldthwaite, Texas, Jan. 4, reported receipts of 2,217 head of sheep and goats, compared to 1,639 head last year, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to the last sale, stocker and feeder lambs were not tested. Slaughter lambs were steady to firm. Stocker and feeder goats were not tested. Slaughter goats were steady to firm. Demand was good. The supply included round 50% sheep including nearly 750 lambs. Prices per CWT unless specified. Stock and feeder: Dorper ewes, 100 to 150 lbs., 50.00 to 67.00.
