Aberdeen livestock salesThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 3,604 head Jan. 9, compared to 4,515 head last week and 6,014 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold unevenly steady. Demand was good with an active market. Steers comprised 59% of the run, heifers 41%, with 82% over 600 pounds.
