The Depot Theater Company announces new production

Western Kansas

The Depot Theater Company will open the next show in their 25th season on Friday, Feb. 8. The show is "Corpse!" by Gerald Moon.

The play takes place in London, 1936, and tells the story of twin brothers, one an actor and one a successful business man. The actor twin is arranging to have his brother murdered so he can assume his identity and enjoy the benefits of the more successful brother's wealth and position in society. At least, that's what he tells us at the beginning of the evening. He blackmails an old military man into helping with his plan, but nothing is what it appears at first glance. It's an evening of comedy and mystery as the plot thickens.

Featured in the cast are Company veterans Kelly Carroll and Kyle Hager. Playing the meddling and flirtatious landlady is Louise Tegarden and making his Company debut is Cary Droste. The show is directed by Don Steele.

The show opens Feb. 8 and runs Feb. 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21 and 22, with a special matinee performance on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The show is a dinner theater and tickets are $35 per person.

The Depot Theater Company produces shows at the historic Santa Fe Depot. The Harvey Hotel Lobby opens at 5:30 p.m. There is an art exhibit in the DepotTheater Gallery and the cash bar is open, serving beer, wine and soft drinks. The theater opens at 6:15 p.m. and dinner is served immediately.
