Post Rock District sets weekly "Coffee Shop" meeting Feb. 6Kansas The latest research for dryland cropping systems including fertilizer application in no-till with Barney Gordon, agronomist in charge of the NCK Experiment Field at Belleville will be the first Post Rock Coffee Shop meeting for 2008. These meetings will take place at the Circle Inn, Osborne at 9:30 a.m., and First National Bank Meeting Room Beloit at 1:30 p.m. Post Rock Extension District is hosting "Coffee Shop" meetings each Wednesday in February. Each week, a K-State Specialist will provide information at two district locations. Local sponsors provide coffee and rolls in the morning with coffee and pie in the afternoon. These meetings last approximately one hour. The remainder of the schedule: Feb. 13, Larry Hollis, beef production medicine specialist, Beef Health Update at the Community Building, Jewell at 9:30 a.m., and the Sylvan Sales Commission Company at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20 Erick DeWolf, wheat pathologist, Foliar Fungicides for Wheat, 9:30 a.m., Hungry Hunter in Lincoln and1:30 p.m., in the Guaranty State Bank meeting room, Beloit. Feb 27, Hunting and recreational leases, Ben Allen, Chautauqua County Extension Agent, State Bank of Downs at 9:30 a.m., and Lincoln County Courthouse meeting room at 1:30 p.m. The sessions will be repeated in Smith County the following afternoon.
