Nebraska RC&D Association elects officers for 2008Nebraska The Nebraska RC&D Association held its annual business meeting on Oct. 4, 2007 in Ogallala and elected officers for 2008. Officers elected for 2008 are: Chairman, Dan Hruza, Burwell; Treasurer Verlin Bruns, Chappell; Past Chairman, Ted Tietjen, Grant; Vice Chairman Scott Kudrna, Auburn. Not pictured Secretary Cliff Welsh, Brule. The Nebraska RC&D Association officers met in Lincoln for a training session on Dec. 21, 2007. Representing the Nebraska Councils at the National RC&D Leadership Conference in Washington D.C., Feb. 25 to 27 will be Vice Chairman Scott Kudrna, Past Chairman Ted Teitjen and Secretary Cliff Welsh. While in Washington, these representatives will meet with the Nebraska delegation and the Secretary of Agriculture to discuss the farm bill and RC&D's role in rural Nebraska.
