Lexington livestock auctionThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 3,660 head Jan. 25, compared to 2,050 head last week and 4,300 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers trended fully steady to firm. Demand was very good and trading was active for an outstanding offering of very high quality feeders. Receipts consisted of 66% steers and 34% heifers with 84% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds.
