Farm truck regulation changes informational meeting scheduled Feb. 12Kansas Russell County Extension, Russell County Farm Bureau and the Russell County Treasurer are hosting a farm truck regulation change meeting Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. until noon. The information will be presented by the Kansas Corporation Commission, Motor Carriers and the Kansas Highway Patrol. The following topics will be discussed: Federal Regulations being enforced with farm trucks hauling grain to elevators and shipped out of state, CDL licenses, driver qualifications, safety requirements, U.S. DOT numbers and markings, weights and scales, barter exchange, farm use tags and more. The Farm Truck Regulation Meeting will be Feb. 12 at the Russell County Fairgrounds 4-H Building from 10 a.m. to noon. Directions to the Russell County Fairgrounds from I-70 take exit 184 go N. 2 miles then E. on State Street 8/10 of a mile. This meeting is free and no RSVP is necessary. 2/4/08 Date: 1/31/08
