HAY AND FORAGE--CLAAS of America, Inc., Omaha, Neb., now offers four new models to the JAGUAR 900 series, the JAGUAR 950, 960, 970, and 980. New axle positions and balanced weight distribution reduces the load on the road. In the field, the large volume tires and the exclusive CLAAS tire pressure control system (optional), provides better traction and lasting ground protection. Combining the power of two identical first-class Mercedes engines, operators have adjustable 12-cylinder power and an engine output of up to 830 hp delivering extremely high throughput available on the 970 and 980. The new V-MAX knife drum design, equipped with up to 36 knives, delivers a variety of cutting lengths from 3 mm to 37 mm giving optimum chopping results. Each knife is fixed to the drum with just two bolts, giving a 50% timesavings when changing knives. And, with a universal knife design, there is no need to change from grass to corn knives.
