UW ag dean gathers input for academic plan Feb. 28 in TorringtonWyoming University of Wyoming College of Agriculture Dean Frank Galey will gather information to help develop the college's next academic plan Feb. 28, in Torrington. Galey's presentation, "Educating Tomorrow's Workforce," starts at 3 p.m., in the Brand Room of the Goshen County Fairgrounds on West Hwy. 26. "The university is going into a planning cycle, and I am visiting with small and large groups throughout Wyoming gathering input about issues and problems the College of Agriculture should address," said Galey. Themes of the university's plan are access, excellence and leadership, and information gathered during these sessions will be used to identify major areas of focus for the College of Agriculture. Galey will provide a brief state-of-the-college overview and solicit input on current programs. Topics covered will include student recruitment, support for rural communities and new opportunities within the agriculture industry. The presentation is part of a series of statewide meetings over the next few months to gather information. The presentation will be opened for discussion and input.
