Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 3,506 head Feb. 14, compared to 1,832 head last week and 1,743 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, steers at 300 to 600 pounds were steady to $5 higher, and 600 to 1,000 pounds were steady to $3 higher. Heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were steady, and 600 to 950 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows were $3 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady. Receipts included 86% 600 pounds and over, 7% 600 pounds and under, 7% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 70% steers and 30% heifers.
