Lot 20, Mill Bar MC 2500 5036, a Jan. 28, 2007 son of Schurrtop MC 2500, sold to Jeff Erickson, Wallace, Neb., for $7,000. TKO Cattle Co., Wallace, purchased Lot 109, JAK Alliance 9126 014, a Jan. 12, 2007 son of WAR Alliance 9126 6006, for $7,000. Doerder Farms, Boone, Iowa, purchased Lot 50, Mill Bar 004 5119, a Feb. 7, 2007 son of SAV 8180 Traveler 004, for $6,750. Doerder Farms also purchased Lot 53, Mill Bar Grid Maker 5122, a Feb. 8, 2007 son of GAR Grid Maker, for $6,750. Selling for $6,500, was Lot 14, Mill Bar MC 2500 5023, a Jan. 26, 2007 son of Schurrtop MC 2500, to Kevin Fornoff, Hayes Center, Neb.--Rod Swafford. Lundgren Angus Ranch Production Sale Feb. 15 Gove, Kan. Auctioneer: Jerry Lehmann Averages: 44 yearling bulls, $2,640; 14 2-year-old bulls, $2,100; 58 total bulls, $2,509; 28 yearling registered heifers, $935. The high selling bull of the day was Lot 1, LAR Total Package 744, a Jan. 24, 2007, son of TC Total 410, which sold to Joe Miller, Kansas, for $5,000. Lane Patmon, Kansas, purchased Lot 12, LAR 1407 Design T63, a Jan. 15, 2007, son of Bon View New Design 1407, for $4,300. Robert Herl, Kansas, purchased Lot 2, LAR Total T123, a Jan. 24, 2007, son of TC Total 410, for $4,000. Lot 40, LAR 878 Design T56, a Feb. 1, 2007, son of Bon View New Design 878, sold to Larry Summers, Kansas, for $3,750. The high selling heifer of the day was Lot 74, BK Miss Duchess T408, an embryo calf out of 602C and an 036 influenced cow, which sold to Don Hineman, Kansas, for $1,500--Rod Swafford. J&N Ranch Black Hereford Sale Feb. 9 Leavenworth, Kan. Auctioneer: Tommy Barnes Averages: Yearling bulls, $2,220; Bred females, $2,050. This was Joe and Norma Hougland's 15th annual sale. Cattle sold into 18 states as the demand for Black Hereford cattle remains high--Guy Peverley. Farmers and Ranchers Livestock Commission Co. Mid-Winter Classic Catalog Horse Sale Feb. 9 Salina, Kan. Averages: Top five horses, $9900; Top 10 horses, $7410; Top 15 horses, $6230; Top 20 horses, $5512.
