Salina livestock sales reportThe Farmers and Ranchers Livestock Commission Co., Salina, Kan., reported receipts of 2,747 head, Feb. 7, compared to 2,131 head, last week and 3,987 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers 450 to 750 pounds were $2 to $4 higher, 750 to 950 pounds were firm to $3 higher. Heifers 400 to 700 pounds were $4 to $7 higher, 700 to 900 pounds were steady to firm. Trade was active, demand was very good. Receipts, included 91% 600 pounds and over, 9% 600 pounds and under, less than 1% slaughter cows. The feeder supply included 69% steers and 31% heifers.
