Ericson livestock salesThe Ericson Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 4,000 head Feb. 9, compared to 3,500 head last week and 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, the bulk of feeder cattle trended steady to $2 higher, with 800 pound steers adjusting $2 to $3 lower. Good cattle quality and demand. Receipts consisted of 44% steers and 56% heifers, with 73% over 600 pounds.
