Dunlap feeder cattle auction reportThe Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,018 head Feb. 8, compared to 2,762 head last week, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special preconditioned feeder cattle sale. The trends compared to last week were $1 to $1.50 lower on the light weight steer calves, steady to $3 higher on the medium weight steer calves, and steady to $2 lower on the heavy weight steer calves, $3 to $6 lower on the light weight heifer calves, $1 to $2.50 higher on the medium weight heifer calves, and $.50 to $1 higher on the heavy weight heifer calves. Receipts included 34% steers and 66% heifers. Feeder cattle weighing over 600 pounds was 69%.
