Apache livestock sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 4,711 head Feb. 8, compared to 2,882 head last week and 5,909 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $2 to $3 higher, up to $4 higher on the 7 weights. Steer and heifer calves steady to a $1 higher. Weigh-ups were average to full. Demand for all classes of cattle were moderate to good. The supply included 56% steers, 40% heifers, 4% bulls and 68% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $2 higher. Packer demand was moderate to good. A total of 500 cows and bulls sold with 55% going to packers.
