Tulsa livestock sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,438 head Feb. 4, compared to 1,733 head last week and 1,636 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, stocker steers were $1 to $3 higher. Feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Stocker and feeder heifers were $1 to $3 higher. Demand was very good with good attendance of buyers. Weigh-ups were mostly average. Receipts included 44% steers, 44% heifers, with 24% of total over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $3 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady to $2 higher. A total of 160 cows and bulls sold with 61% going to packers.
