South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Feb. 1, showed receipts of 2,700 head of feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

There is no comparison on feeder lambs. This is the first of the new crop lambs to trade. There were no slaughter lambs, or slaughter meat goats. Slaughter and replacement ewes were not tested.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 1700 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 95 lbs., old crop 102.50; 70 to 85 lbs., new crop 115.00 to 117.00.
