Presho livestock sales reportThe Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 2,517 head Jan. 31, compared to 2,315 head two weeks ago and 3,400 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers sold $2 to $6 higher. Mostly potloads and part loads on offer. The offering included 70% steers, 30% heifers, with 78% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 423 lbs., 130.00; 519 to 541 lbs., 121.50 to 127.00 (124.77); 567 to 591 lbs., 118.75 to 124.75 (122.56); 606 to 647 lbs., 111.75 to 116.50 (114.10) calves; 650 to 659 lbs., 111.00 to 115.25 (114.09) calves; 701 to 744 lbs., 101.25 to 107.50 (104.58) calves; 15 head, 799 lbs., 100.50; 761 to 792 lbs., 99.25 to 103.10 (102.18) calves; 832 to 844 lbs., 99.25 to 99.75 (99.50); 14 head, 919 to 923 lbs., 90.50 to 94.25 (92.64). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 6 head, 468 lbs., 129.50; 677 to 698 lbs., 104.00 to 106.50 (104.51) calves; 752 to 767 lbs., 98.00 to 100.75 (98.37) calves;.
