Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 3,300 head Feb. 1, compared to 3,660 head last week and 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers trended fully steady to $4 higher. Demand was very good and trading active on many load lot high quality offerings. Receipts consisted of 63% steers and 37% heifers with 79% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds.
