Dunlap livestock sales reportThe Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,762 head Feb. 1, compared to 3,214 head last week and 2,762 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special preconditioned feeder cattle sale. Compared to last weeks sale steers trended $2 higher with heifers trending $2 to $3 higher. Quality was good on a good demand. Receipts included 67% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 40% heifers and 60% steers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 3 head, 363 lbs., 128.00; 10 head, 430 lbs., 131.50; 20 head, 464 to 491 lbs., 125.00 to 127.00 (125.97); 25 head, 452 lbs., 134.00 fancy; 504 to 545 lbs., 115.00 to 122.50 (120.02); 83 head, 509 lbs., 126.25 fancy; 553 to 592 lbs., 112.00 to 122.00 (115.88); 601 to 633 lbs., 109.25 to 116.25 (113.62) calves; 650 to 696 lbs., 104.25 to 110.00 (106.83) calves; 676 to 690 lbs., 100.00 to 102.50 (101.47) fleshy; 702 to 748 lbs., 99.40 to 106.25 (103.80) calves; 773 to 793 lbs., 98.50 to 101.10 ( 99.68) calves; 816 to 837 lbs., 98.75 to 99.60 (99.29) calves; 19 head, 860 to 875 lbs., 94.50 to 95.75 (95.55) calves.
