Colorado cattle sales reportThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., Feb. 1, reported receipts of 5,170 head, compared to 5,170 head last week and 8,120 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing under 700 pounds were $2 to $4 higher, weights over 700 pounds were $1 to $2 higher. Feeder heifers under 600 pounds sold $3 to $5 higher, weights over 600 pounds sold steady to $2 higher. Demand was moderate to good, with the best demand on weights over 700 pounds as supplies begin to tighten up at the local auction barns. The supply was made up of 60% feeder steers, the balance feeder heifers, with about 67% of total feeder supply over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 400 to 440 lbs., 127.50 to 134.00; 450 to 480 lbs., 127.50 to 134.00; 500 to 550 lbs., 118.00 to 132.25; 550 to 600 lbs., 112.00 to 122.50; 600 to 650 lb. calves 103.00 to 112.50; 650 to 680 lbs., 108.75, calves 102.00 to 109.50; 700 to 750 lbs., 100.00 to 103.50, calves 97.00 to 102.75; 750 to 800 lbs., 97.50 to 101.00, calves 99.25 to 100.00; 810 to 850 lbs., 94.00 to 98.50; 850 to 890 lbs., 93.25 to 95.00; 900 to 910 lbs., 91.10 to 92.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 350 to 360 lbs., 127.00 to 132.00; 460 to 490 lbs., 118.00 to 126.00; 570 to 600 lbs., 108.00 to 113.75; 670 to 700 lb. calves 97.75 to 101.50; 720 to 800 lbs., 96.50, calves 95.00 to 96.25; 840 to 845 lbs., 92.00 to 92.25.
