Ag Builders elect officers, members

Nebraska

The Agriculture Builders of Nebraska have elected new officers and members.

ABN, an organization dedicated to the improvement and prosperity of Nebraska agriculture, is made up of leaders in agriculture, agribusiness and natural resources. The organization works closely with the University of Nebraska, especially the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Officers elected during ABN's annual meeting in Lincoln in January are: Michael Jacobson, North Platte, president; Roger Wehrbein, Plattsmouth, president-elect; Irv Omtvedt, Lincoln, secretary; and Ron Krejci, Lincoln, treasurer.

Kathy Wittler of Omaha completed a two-year term as president and continues on the board. Others elected to ABN's board of directors are: Sallie Atkins, Halsey; George Beattie, Lincoln; Bob Bettger, Fairmont; Bill Dicke, Lincoln; and Mark Schroeder, West Point.

The following were elected as new members of the 170-member organization: Don Batie, Lexington; Daniel Duncan, Lincoln; Kenneth Herz, Lawrence; Carol Hudkins, Malcolm; John Maddux, Imperial; David Pankonin, Louisville; Todd Schroeder, Wisner; Jerry Stahr, York; and Jeanene Wehrbein, Plattsmouth.
