RMFU selects delegates to National Convention

Rocky Mountain Farmers Union delegates in Cheyenne, Wyo., for their convention, Nov. 21 and 22, selected eight members to represent the organization at the National Farmers Union annual convention (March 8 to 10, 2009, Washington, D.C.). The official delegation to the national convention consists of two board members and the eight members chosen in Cheyenne.

Delegates to the national convention help shape national legislative policy for the coming year. With the change in federal government, policy decisions will be even more important this year. RMFU delegates represent the organization and the concerns of their communities.

Elected delegates and board representatives are: Brian Albers, Louisville, Colo.; John Ellis, Boulder, Colo.; Gregg Gossett, Portales, N.M.; Jerry Hergenreder, Longmont, Colo.; Barbara Marty, Henderson, Colo. (Board, Dist. 2); Monte Niebur, Akron, Colo. (Board, Dist. 1); Roy Pfaltzgraff, Haxtun, Colo.; Vince Potestio, Avondale, Colo.; Armando Valdez, La Jara, Colo.; Dorothy Zavorka, Torrington, Wyo.
