Hereford exhibitors honored in Kansas City

Hereford exhibitors were recently rewarded for showcasing their breeding programs at national and regional shows throughout the past year. At the American Hereford Association's annual meeting in Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 3, Hereford show heifer, show bull and premier exhibitor awards were given to exhibitors in each of four U.S. regions.

To qualify for these prestigious bronze awards, exhibitors must have accumulated points and shown at one national and one regional event. Points are calculated throughout the show season, which runs from the beginning of May to the end of April. The following are the winners for each of the four regions.

Southwest Region

Horned Show Heifer of the Year--Drew Perez, Nara Visa, N.M., with KJ 792P Pure Frost 175S.

Horned Show Bull of the Year--Rylee Barber, Channing, Texas, and Don Moler, Cheyenne, Okla., with BR DM TNT 7010 ET.

Horned Premier Exhibitor--Hoffman Herefords, McArthur, Calif.

Polled Show Heifer of the Year--Kirbie Day, Waxahachie, Texas, with RW Mindy 3078 6096.

Polled Show Bull of the Year--Kirbie Day with KLD Transformer D72 ET.

Polled Premier Exhibitor--Kirbie Day.

Southeast Region

Horned Show Heifer of the Year--Rachel Rogan, Rogersville, Tenn., with RF Goldilocks 6024.

Horned Show Bull of the Year--Four L Hereford Farm, Atwood, Tenn., and Watson Hereford Farm, Jackson, Tenn., with Four L Dakota Gold 5010R.

Horned Premier Exhibitor--Four L Hereford Farm.

Polled Show Heifer of the Year--Randa Owen, Fort Payne, Ala., with RRO TRM 9216 Molly 6098 ET.

Northwest Region

Horned Show Heifer of the Year--Kelsey Stimpson, Melba, Idaho, and Frisbie Herefords, Melba, Idaho, with FH Kachina 712.

Horned Premier Exhibitor--Upstream Ranch, Taylor, Neb.

Polled Show Heifer of the Year--Kelsey Repenning, Mitchell, S.D., with MSU Keepsake 14S.

Polled Show Bull of the Year--Split Butte Cattle Co., Minidoka, Idaho; Little Creek Ranch, Parma, Idaho; Heritage Cattle Co., Buhl, Idaho; and Weimer Cattle Company, Susanville, Calif.; with SB 122L Ariat 61R ET.

Northeast Region

Horned Show Heifer of the Year--Kagney Collins, Flanagan, Ill., with Purple CMCC Paris 19S ET.

Horned Show Bull of the Year--Pierces Hereford Haven, Baraboo, Wis., and Harold Lietzau, Sparta, Wis., with KJ C&L BJ 204 Authentic 294S.

Horned Premier Exhibitor--Pierces Hereford Haven and Harold Lietzau.

Polled Show Heifer of the Year--Purple Reign Cattle Co., Toulon, Ill., and Austin Bauer, Bonfield, Ill., with Purple Madge 23T.
