WKMA 2008-2009 scholarships awardedKansas Western Kansas Manufacturers Association, sponsor of the 3i SHOW, is pleased to announce the awarding of scholarships to the following students for the 2008-2009 school year. Congratulations to the following recipients: $500 Scholarship Recipients: Barton County Community College scholarship awarded to Jenna Stremel from Dodge City, Kan. Jenna is majoring in Physical Therapy. Colby Community College scholarship awarded to Aarika Heyl. Aarika is a Business Administration major who graduated from Wallace County High School in Sharon Springs, Kan. Garden City Community College scholarship awarded to Andrew Staats. Andrew graduated from Garden City High School and plans to major in Engineering or Physics. North Central Kansas Technical College scholarship awarded to Joel Dix. Joel is a Welding Technology student who graduated from Stockton High School. Northwest Kansas Technical School scholarship awarded to Kevin Balluch and Trina Lazo. Kevin Balluch is a graduate of Quinter High School and is enrolled in Engineering. Trina Lazo is enrolled in Business Technology. Seward County Community College scholarship awarded to Marina Vergara. Marina is majoring in Business Administration. $700 Scholarship Recipients: Fort Hays State University scholarship awarded to Garrett Martin. Garrett graduated from Stanton County Community High School and is majoring in Physics. Kansas State University scholarship awarded to Spencer Kaufman from Dodge City. Spencer is studying Engineering Technology. University of Kansas scholarship awarded to James Baughman. James is Stockton High School graduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Scholarship funds are still available at Dodge City Community College and Southwest Kansas Technical School. Scholarships are funded by the annual 3i SHOW belt buckle sales. Buckles for the 2009 3i SHOW in Garden City are currently available.
