Beef Cattle Reproduction Symposium scheduled Dec. 2 and 3

Colorado

From artificial insemination to breeding program management to compete in current markets, successful cattle producers want to understand the future of their industry. This is why high-tech cattle production is the driving force behind the 2008 Robert Taylor Memorial Symposium: Applied Reproductive Strategies in Beef Cattle. The symposium will be held at the Hilton, 425 W. Prospect Rd., Fort Collins, Colo.

The symposium, under the direction of the Colorado State University Beef Cattle Reproduction Task Force, draws cattle producers from across the region. Symposium speakers will discuss improving herd productivity and decreasing costs by shortening the calving and breeding season. The symposium will also help producers understand how to improve overall reproductive management through enhancement of both male and female cattle reproduction.

During the two-day symposium, a host of nationally renowned speakers representing leading universities and research organizations will share their expertise on herd productivity. Experts will discuss current research in genetically improving the typical herd. To round out the event, a panel of Colorado ranchers will explain how they implemented these new methods in their own operations.

The symposium, set for Dec. 2 and 3 in Fort Collins, Colo., will help the average producer achieve exceptional results using innovative technologies. For more program details and registration information, visit www.csubeef.com/content/view/104/.
