Trails Advisory Board seeks applications

Oklahoma

The State Tourism Department is seeking applications to fill three vacant positions for the Oklahoma Trails Advisory Board. Applications for the volunteer positions will be accepted until Sep. 5.

The OTAB consists of nine members representing a variety of recreational trails interests throughout Oklahoma. The Board was created by the Legislature under the Recreational Trails Program. Members of the Board are primarily responsible for advising the State Tourism Department on the administration of the program and the selection of grant awards.

We will be accepting applications for the following three Board positions: Bicycle/Mountain Biking, Motorcycle/ATV, and Disabled Accessibility.

"The application process is open to everyone, but to be chosen an individual must be a trail user and knowledgeable in one of several related areas," Susan Henry, grants administrator for tourism, said. "We encourage people to identify individuals who are qualified for the Board and forward this information to them."

Contact Susan Henry for an application at 405-230-8490 or by e-mail at shenry@oklahomaparks.com.
