Woodward livestock sales reportThe Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 8,811 head Aug. 15, compared to 6,609 head last week and 6,700 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers under 700 pounds were $2 higher, heavier weights were steady to $1 higher. Feeder heifers were $1 to $2 higher. Steer calves were steady. Heifer calves were $2 to $3 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. Demand was good for all classes. The supply included 61% steers, 36% heifers with 93% over 600 pounds.
