Watertown cattle sales

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 500 head Aug. 20, compared to 650 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Feeder heifers were $3 higher than last week. There was no test on feeder steers. Feeder heifers made up 100% of the run, with 100% of the offerings over 600 pounds.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 641 ., 112.00; 657 to 688 lbs., 112.00 to 112.40 (112.33); 11 head, 774 lbs., 109.50; 859 to 874 lbs., 108.60 to 108.80 (108.76); 52 head, 956 lbs., 104.30; 6 head, 1024 lbs., 99.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 6 head, 601 lbs., 107.50; 22 head, 980 lbs., 99.25
