South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales for the week ending Aug. 15, reported receipts of 1,100 head of feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder lambs were steady in light test. There were no slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes or slaughter meat goats. Trading and demand was moderate in clean-up type trade. Most lambs have been marketed.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 1100 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 65 to 90 lbs., 98.00 to 102.00.
