Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council elects new officers

The Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council Inc. elected new officers and board members during its annual meeting.

Newly elected officers include: chair of the board, Joe Gangwish of Lexington; vice chair, Tim Graff of Beatrice; and secretary, Don McCabe of Lincoln.

Newly elected board members include: Tom Hoegemeyer of Lincoln, Nolan Hueftle of Broken Bow, Jodi Storer of Sutherland, and Jaclyn Wilson of Lakeside. Re-elected for a second, three-year term was Gail Nason of Tryon.

Outgoing chair of the board, Jeff Horst, was recognized for his service to the Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council as were John Miller of Murdock, Jerry Stahr of York, Garrett Storer of Sutherland and Ron Stoddard of Lincoln.

Other board members include: Roger Alber of Blue Hill, Robert C. Andersen of Lincoln, Don Batie of Lexington, Bob Campbell of Lincoln, Bob Dickey of Laurel, Jon Holzfaster of Paxton, Doug Johnson of Wausa, Jan Jorgensen of Creighton, Mike Maranell of Omaha, Burdette Piening of Lincoln, Mike Tomes of Utica and Dan Duncan, who serves as the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources liaison representative.

The Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council's president is Terry Hejny, who also serves as the director of the Nebraska LEAD Program.

The Nebraska LEAD Program includes men and women, currently active in production agriculture and agribusiness and is a two-year leadership development program under the direction of the Nebraska Agricultural Leadership Council Inc. in cooperation with the University of Nebraska's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
