Champions selected at Ozark Empire Fair Angus show

Missouri

Angus enthusiasts led 109 entries at the 2008 Ozark Empire Fair Angus Show, July 26 at Springfield, Mo. Blake Nelson, Warner, Okla., evaluated 82 females, 24 bulls, and three cow-calf pairs before choosing the winners.

WCC Evergreen 713 won grand champion female. Paige Wallace, Stotts City, Mo., owns the January 2007 daughter of TC Gridiron 258. She first won junior champion.

Dereck Washam, Pierce City, Mo., led the reserve grand champion female. Frontier Grace 886 of H S is an October 2006 daughter of B/R New Frontier 095 and first won senior champion.

Jacs 004 Traveler 6063 earned supreme champion and grand champion bull honors after first winning senior champion. JAC's Ranch, Bentonville, Ark., owns the February 2006 son of S A V 8180 Traveler 004.

Jacs 4056 Exp 7507 was named reserve grand champion bull. JAC's Ranch owns the September 2007 son of Jacs RR Expectation 4056. He first won senior calf champion.

Caleb Sayre, Stotts City, Mo., exhibited the grand champion cow-calf pair. SCC Lucy 6217 is a January 2006 daughter of TC Total 410. Her calf is a March 2008 heifer sired by Boyd Next Day 6010.

Austin Sayre, Stotts City, Mo., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. W C C Jet 423 is a February 2004 daughter of Summitcrest High Prime 0H29. A January 2008 bull calf sired by H S A F Bando 1961 completes the pair.
