Apache cattle sales report

Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,142 head Aug. 14, compared to 1,897 head last week and 2,647 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers were steady. Steer calves were steady. Heifer calves were $1 to $2 lower. Demand was moderate to good. The supply included 63% over 600 pounds and 49% heifers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 439 lbs., 134.00; 521 to 538 lbs., 118.00 to 120.00 (118.67); 7 head, 579 lbs., 113.75 fleshy; 603 to 644 lbs., 113.50 to 119.00 (117.42); 610 to 640 lbs., 113.00 to 113.75 (113.47) calves; 56 head, 689 lbs., 118.00; 20 head, 654 lbs., 113.60 calves; 735 to 742 lbs., 114.00 to 115.35 (114.92); 792 to 798 lbs., 113.00 to 113.50 (113.23); 815 to 845 lbs., 111.25 to 113.50 (112.51); 878 to 888 lbs., 105.00 to 109.50 (108.87); 10 head, 962 lbs., 104.00; 6 head, 1058 lbs., 102.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 475 to 482 lbs., 111.00 to 115.50 (114.73); 667 to 692 lbs., 113.75 to 116.25 (114.68); 10 head, 683 lbs., 105.00 calves. Medium and large frame 2, 6 head, 543 lbs., 109.75.
