Alfalfa Intensive Training Seminar set for Reno, Nov. 11 to 13

One of the most successful programs ever developed for training individuals in the alfalfa industry about alfalfa growth and management will be presented in Reno, Nevada on Nov. 11 to 13 at the Silver Legacy Resort. This seminar is a must for anyone growing or working with alfalfa including agronomists, sales managers, crop advisors, nutritionists, extension agents, and alfalfa growers.

The 28th such seminar will again feature an excellent staff to bring alfalfa knowledge to all attendees. These include Dr. Garry Lacefield, University of Kentucky, Dr. Dan Undersander, University of Wisconsin, Dr. Neal Martin, U.S.D.A. Dairy Forage Research Center, Dr. Glenn Shewmaker, University of Idaho and Dr. Dan Putnam, University of California.

A partial list of topics to be covered includes genetics, varieties and variety development, seed production, getting a good stand, growth and development, soil fertility, stress management, pests, harvest management, forage quality, marketing, economics, dairy, beef and horse nutrition and much more.
