Ada livestock sales report

The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,500 head Aug. 13, compared to 800 head last week and 1,188 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $3 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Cattle were in medium to fleshy condition with average weigh-ups. The supply included 39% heifers and 38% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 364 to 378 lbs., 127.00 to 129.50 (128.86); 8 head, 413 to 434 lbs., 116.00 to 124.00 (119.90); 3 head, 493 lbs., 115.00; 500 to 541 lbs., 113.00 to 116.00 (115.19); 552 to 598 lbs., 110.00 to 113.00 (110.63); 8 head, 602 to 630 lbs., 108.50 to 109.00 (108.81); 650 to 695 lbs., 108.00 to 112.50 (110.78); 14 head, 711 to 732 lbs., 110.50 to 113.00 (111.82); 12 head, 755 to 788 lbs., 106.50 to 110.50 (108.97); 3 head, 810 to 838 lbs., 107.00 to 108.00 (107.33); 4 head, 913 lbs., 106.50. Medium and large frame 2, 4 head, 379 lbs., 123.00; 13 head, 451 to 468 lbs., 112.00 to 114.00 (112.79); 6 head, 513 lbs., 110.50; 4 head, 578 lbs., 107.00; 4 head, 618 lbs., 102.00; 3 head, 683 lbs., 102.50; 2 head, 798 lbs., 94.50.
