Texhoma livestock salesThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 575 head Aug. 13, compared to 750 head last week and 750 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, limited receipts due to rain. Limited test on all classes. Demand was good for light numbers. Weigh-ups were average. The supply included 50% steers, 47% heifers with 47% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $1 lower. A total of 197 cows and bulls sold with 74% to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 336 lbs., 135.50; 8 head, 388 lbs., 137.00; 14 head, 465 lbs., 126.00; 7 head, 560 lbs., 116.50; 750 to 796 lbs., 113.00 to 113.25 (113.24); 8 head, 836 lbs., 110.50; 884 to 889 lbs., 105.50 to 109.75 (108.39). Medium and large frame 2, 12 head, 381 to 386 lbs., 115.00 to 125.50 (119.34). Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 2, 9 head, 452 lbs., 117.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 2 head, 315 lbs., 119.00; 4 head, 361 lbs., 116.00; 10 head, 423 113.56; 6 head, 453 lbs., 109.50; 775 to 780 lbs., 105.00 to 108.00 (106.90); 7 head, 933 lbs., 98.00.
