Pratt 3 p.m cattle sales

The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., Aug. 14, reported estimated receipts of 5,000 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, feeder steers at 700 to 850 pounds were firm to $1 higher, 850 to 1000 pounds were steady to $2 lower, feeder heifers 700 to 900 pounds were steady. Steers and heifers under 700 pounds were not enough for a market test as of 3 p.m.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 700 to 750 lbs., 118.00 to 118.50; 61 head thin 707 lbs., 121.75; 750 to 800 lbs., 115.85 to 117.10; 800 to 850 lbs., 113.10 to 116.10, 38 head thin 816 lbs., 116.75; 850 to 900 lbs., 113.25 to 113.85; 900 to 950 lbs., 109.25 to 111.50; 950 to 1000 lbs., 108.10 to 110.00, 28 head 1023 lbs., 108.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 700 to 750 lbs., 109.50 to 111.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 108.35 to 110.25; 800 to 850 lbs., 108.00 to 109.10, 56 head 862 lbs., 109.35.
