Apache livestock sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 1,897 head Aug. 7, compared to 2,061 head last week and 3,032 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were $1 to $3 higher. Demand for all classes of cattle was moderate to good. The supply included 49% steers, 43% heifers, 7% bulls and 71% over 600 pounds.
